Pre-Engineered Industrial Building — Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB)

Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) & Heavy Fabrication

Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB)

Pre-engineered steel buildings designed, fabricated and erected under one contract — engineered to the code set issued with your tender, fabricated in our own plants.

Service information

A PEB is bought on the design basis, not on the picture.

Every pre-engineered building looks much the same in a brochure. What differs is the design basis behind it — the load cases it was engineered for, the steel grade specified, and whether the organisation that drew it is the one that will fabricate and erect it. We do all three, so the frame that arrives on site is the frame that was designed, by the people who designed it.

Fabrication happens across our two plants in Dindori, Nashik: cutting, forming, welding and surface finishing in-house, then erection and alignment on your site. One contract, one schedule, one accountable organisation from the design basis report through to handover.

What we make

What we manufacture and deliver.

Any one of these can be contracted on its own, or the whole interior delivered under a single award against one drawing set and one schedule. Everything listed is manufactured, supplied and installed by us — not sub-let after award.

  • Industrial PEB Buildings

Clear-span and multi-bay industrial buildings, engineered to the loads your site and use impose.

    • Clear-span and multi-bay frames
    • Designed to the load cases issued with the tender
    • IS 2062 plate and section material
    • Fabricated and erected by us, not sub-let
  • Twin-Bay & Extended Structures

Buildings that grow sideways — paired and extended bays sharing a structural line.

    • Twin-bay and extended-bay configurations
    • Shared column lines where the layout allows
    • Future extension considered at design stage
    • Consistent frame detailing across bays
  • Roofing, Cladding & Insulation

The envelope — sheeting, cladding and insulation specified against the use and the climate.

    • Roof sheeting and wall cladding
    • Insulation systems where the use calls for it
    • Flashings, gutters and rainwater goods
    • Specified to the exposure at your site
  • Erection & Alignment

Site erection by the organisation that fabricated the frame, with alignment records at handover.

    • Site erection and bolting
    • Frame alignment and plumbing
    • Erection sequence planned against site access
    • Records handed over with the building

Standards & compliance

Built to the standards this work is inspected against.

Wording here is deliberate: we design and manufacture to these criteria.

  • Steel design IS 800:2007 — general construction in steel, as the design basis issued with the tender.
  • Loading IS 875 Parts 1 to 5 — dead, imposed, wind, snow and special loads.
  • Seismic IS 1893 — criteria for earthquake resistant design, to the zone for your site.
  • Material IS 2062 — hot-rolled structural steel, grade as specified in the drawing set.
  • Welding qualified procedures to the welding standard named in the tender.
  • Surface preparation abrasive blast cleaning to the grade specified, before coating.
  • Scope note the codes above are the design and fabrication basis this work is engineered and inspected to. They are not third-party certification of it. Our ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 50001 certificates are scoped to furniture manufacture and do not extend to structural steel; MSME ZED Gold and the Lean certification are plant-level and do. Every certificate and its scope is published on our certifications page.

Why Finex

Why departments place this work with us.

  • 01

One organisation from design to erection

Design, fabrication and site erection under one contract. The alternative is a fabricator, an erector and an argument about which of them owns a misaligned bay.

  • 02

    Fabricated in our own plants

Cutting, forming, welding and finishing happen across our two plants in Dindori, Nashik — more than 1,00,000 sq. ft. — so nothing waits on an outside vendor between stages.

  • 03

Designed to the code set you issue

The load cases, the design code and the site conditions come with your drawing set, and we engineer to what is issued rather than to a house standard.

  • 04

    Honest about certificate scope

Our ISO certificates are scoped to furniture, and we say so on this page rather than letting a badge imply cover it does not have. What applies here is stated per page.

FAQ

Questions we get on this scope.

If yours is not here, ask — we would rather answer it properly.

The design basis comes with the tender — the load cases, the governing code and the site conditions are issued with the drawing set and we engineer to what is issued. In India that is normally IS 800 for the steel design, IS 875 Parts 1 to 5 for dead, imposed, wind and snow loads, IS 1893 for seismic, and IS 2062 for the plate and section material. If you want the codes and load assumptions confirmed for a specific enquiry before you shortlist us, ask and we will state them in writing for that scope.

Both, and buying them together is the point. Site erection and alignment are part of the published scope of this service line — the alternative is a fabricator, an erector, and a dispute about whose tolerance caused a bay that will not line up.

We do not publish an envelope, because the honest answer depends on the load case, the steel grade and the site conditions, and a number quoted without those is not usable on a tender. Send the footprint, the clear height you need and the site location and we will confirm what is buildable for that scope in writing.

No, and we would rather say so than let a badge do the implying. Our ISO 9001, 13485 and 50001 certificates are scoped to furniture manufacture — they are real certificates with real numbers, and their scope does not reach structural steel. What does apply at plant level is MSME ZED Gold and the MSME Lean certification. If your tender requires an ISO certificate scoped to steel fabrication, tell us and we will give you our position in writing rather than a badge.

Send the drawing set, the bill of quantities or the tender document. You get back a priced scope and a dated programme against your milestones, and we will tell you plainly if any part of the scope is outside what we manufacture rather than quoting it and buying it in later.

Send us the drawing.

A tender number, a specification or a drawing set — we will confirm what we can build and by when, within two working days.
