The one door that has to open first time.
An escape door is used once, by people who are not thinking clearly, in the dark. Everything about it is designed for that moment: it swings in the direction of travel, it releases with a single push anywhere along the bar, it self-closes behind them, and it is marked so it can be found without reading.
We manufacture the set — leaf, frame, panic or push-bar hardware, self-closing device and signage — and install it so the release actually works against the frame it was made for.

Both release the door with one action. A panic bar spans the leaf so it works wherever a person hits it, which suits public buildings; a push pad is a smaller device for openings used by staff who know the building.
Yes. Escape signage and photoluminescent marking are part of the scope, so the route is marked rather than left to a separate order.
They can, provided the escape function is never defeated — the door must still release with a single action from the inside. We will say so plainly if a proposed arrangement compromises that.
